The grounds are totally enclosed, and gated. There is a new swimming pool surrounded by flower gardens, outdoor grill and private terrace.The most gracious and hospitable multi-lingual owners live in the attached apartment and are available for any needs you may have.
Casa Saskia is located in a lovely scenic location, with easy access to the main highway S435 that leads to Lucca, Pescia and Montecatini and many other scenic towns. It centrally located for convenient day excursions to Lucca (15 minutes), Pisa, the ocean-side beaches of Viareggio (40 minutes), and Montecatini, the famous spa town (20 minutes). It is about 45 minutes by car from Florence, or you can drive your car to a nearby train station of Pescia and from there, it is a pleasant hour by train to the Florence station in the center of town. Several small lovely restaurants among the vineyards nearby for a relaxing dinner after a day's travels.
